Building high quality, light-weight vehicles

Strong automotive adhesives solutions for a stronger public transport system

Indonesia’s bus manufacturing company, CV. Karoseri Laksana, has teamed up with Henkel to produce a brand new fleet of 400 CityLine public buses in Jakarta. Henkel has been the glass-sealing and metal-to-metal bonding technology supplier for the production of these public buses.

As Laksana was using aluminum, in addition to steel, to produce lighter-weight vehicles, it needed a comprehensive range of automotive adhesives solutions that could ensure stronger bonding, irrespective of the material. They found the ideal solution in Henkel’s Teroson, a full suite of bonding, sealing, coating and reinforcing technologies. It comprises Teroson MS 9380, a highly viscous, sag-resistant solution, perfect for metal-to-metal interior and exterior applications; and Teroson PU 8511, a polyurethane-based glass primer that enhances bonding strength for metals, plastics, ceramics and painted surfaces.

In addition to providing its high-performance automotive adhesives solutions, Henkel continues to support Laksana by providing them with ongoing technical support, training and routine maintenance. This enables Laksana to contribute to its customer’s success, which paves the way for safer and more comfortable journeys for commuters.
