  • Partner with the Dollar General sales team and internal category team to identify category growth opportunities through assortment and aisle flow/adjacencies – across Laundry and Beauty categories.
  • Provide category centric, actionable reporting, adhoc analytics and insights support for the Dollar General sales team, occasionally conducting custom research to drive a deeper understanding of Guest behaviors.
  • Create best-in-class reporting by leveraging multiple tools (1010, Circana/IRI/Nielsen, Numerator, etc.).
  • Proactively anticipate customer and team needs, thereby driving actionable, data-driven recommendations.
  • Synthesize insights and recommendations into clear and impactful stories.
  • Provide category onboarding to new team members in assigned categories.
  • Elevate Dollar General category insights to the rest of the organization.


  • Bachelor’s Degree [Business preferred] and 5+ years of Category Management experience within the consumer products industry. 
  • Proficient in Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and exploit syndicated and custom data.
  • Ability to take initiative to identify issues and bring opinions and recommendations.
  • Ability to learn new software and tools to improve efficiency in achievement of key responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with syndicated scan and household panel data (IRI/Circana/Nielsen required, 1010 Data a plus).
  • Proficiency using Space Management applications (JDA Space Planning).
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • The ability to effectively manage time, prioritizing multiple tasks with tight timelines.

The salary for this role is $130,000 - $150,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
