What you'll do

The Logistics Excellence & Data Analytics Manager is responsible for driving operational efficiency and performance improvements within the logistics function by leveraging data analytics and process optimization. This role combines in depth knowledge of logistics processes with advanced data analysis techniques to ensure seamless operations, cost reductions, and enhanced service levels. The manager will work cross-functionally to implement best practices and innovations, leading initiatives that improve overall supply chain performance.

·Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics Process Improvement:
  • Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and process standardization across the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement programs to enhance service levels and productivity.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting (across our supply chain):
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that track logistics performance, costs, and service metrics.
  • Analyze historical and real-time data to forecast future logistics demands and inform capacity planning.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee key logistics projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
  • Implement and track the success of logistics excellence initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a liaison between logistics, procurement, operations, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment on objectives.
  • Foster strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and vendors to drive performance and cost optimization.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear business strategies.
  • Technology Integration:
  • Identify and integrate advanced technology solutions (e.g., warehouse management systems, transportation management systems) to drive automation and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in logistics and data analytics, recommending tools and solutions that improve operations.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring logistics operations meet all legal standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to logistics and supply chain disruptions.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support in data analysis and process improvement efforts.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.

What makes you a good fit

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field. A master’s
    degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a strong focus on data
    analytics and process optimization.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP,
    Oracle, Blue Yonder WMS).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive
    strategic decisions.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, with a track record of delivering
    process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross functional teams.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other process improvement methodologies.
    • Knowledge of logistics technology platforms, including WMS (Blue Yonder), TMS, and RFID systems.
    • Understanding of global supply chain trends and practices. 

The salary for this role is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
