YOUR ROLE

·The Quality Laboratory Manager will lead and manage quality control activities at Bay Point, CA Henkel facility

·Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and directing a team responsible for quality control processes required to ensure customer and Henkel requirement compliance through the aerospace supply chain

·Promote and support transformation of quality culture throughout the Henkel facility.

·Drive improvement while remaining compliant to customer requirements, including AS9100, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001, and NADCAP

·Has authority to stop shipment of product that does not meet quality requirements and to stop any noncompliant or unsafe practices.

·Provide leadership for quality control activities, with emphasis on product realization process.

·Align Henkel’s standard processes with specific aerospace customer requirements.

·Ensures aerospace strategic objectives are understood and linked to continual improvement priorities, actions, and accountabilities through policy deployment.

·Support and drive quality initiatives to reduce scrap and enhance productivity.

·Analyze collected data from monthly and quarterly reports/metrics of quality rework, and other quality performance measures to make informed decisions for management review.

·Drive problem solving/ root cause and corrective actions to support improvement initiatives.

·Participates in integrated product development meetings and other advance quality planning activities to contribute quality requirements and considerations.

·Promote quality culture and behavior through leadership, coaching, communication, and training programs.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Must have the ability to organize and execute plans methodically, work well with direct reports and all other divisional personnel
  • 5+ years of demonstrated strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • 7+ years of quality/manufacturing work experience
  • Excellent relationship building, communication, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams of problem-solvers with a balance of reactive and proactive quality efforts.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, peers, and leadership team
  • Good working knowledge of probability and statistical models
  • Ability to travel as needed (10%)
  • MBA or Master of Science degree
  • Quality certification (i.e. CQE, CMQ/OE, and/or CSSBB)
  • Thorough understanding of quality standards AS9100/9102, TS16949, and NADCAP

The salary for this role is $125,000 - $145,000 This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
