YOUR ROLE

  • Product Line Manager will manage the full product lifecycle strategy for Henkel's North American (US, Canada and Mexico) Packaging Adhesives product lines.
  • Manage customer- supplier- and regulatory driven changes.
  • Drive for customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate introduction of new products developed through our Innovation Teams key development programs.
  • Coordinate all tasks related to set-up within our organization and systems.
  • Develop and execute a product plan and portfolio strategy for the regional APP SBU within NAMx, in line with the business plans and global technology portfolio strategies, to accomplish SBU financial goals.
  • Align with senior leadership.
  • Drive programs to reduce product costs (raw material, operating, freight & warehousing, complexity reduction, reformulations) and to establish and attain target processing cost through collaboration with Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, driving for optimum product line profitability.
  • Manage security of raw material supply and allocation of raw materials, as well participate in the monitoring and management of product margins (raws relative to pricing action) through collaboration with Purchasing, Operations, Pricing Management.
  • To coordinate and manage for the Packaging SBU any adjustments to the operations network and/or tollers.
  • Ensure PLM activities are well aligned with business objectives within the region.
  • Ability to travel 5% to visit Henkel facilities throughout US and Mexico.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Successfully completed a university degree in economics is required. Preferably a master’s in marketing and/or MBA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related technical/scientific discipline is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is a must. Spanish language skills are desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Product Line Management, Marketing, Product Development, Technical Customer Service or related experience is required.
  • Adhesives, Packaging, Metal Packaging industry experience is preferred.
  • 2+ years commercial experience in target markets for the product line desirable.
  • Knowledge in (and/or) Hot Melt, Water based, Polyurethane, Acrylics, Surface Treatment like Lubricants, Cleaners and Conversion coatings is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize/organize workload. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and lead and influence to accomplish objectives through others.
  • Proficient with SAP and Data Warehouse systems is desirable.

The salary for this role is $94,100.00 – 135,400.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
