About this position

What you´ll do

  • Design Industrial IoT architectures, including cloud infrastructure, edge computing, cloud integration and data management pipelines according to Henkel’s IoT strategy
  • Ensure structured documentation of IoT solution architectures
  • Oversee and coordinate the technical implementation of IoT applications, ensuring reliability, scalability and security standards are met
  • Actively implement cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure by applying DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and consult stakeholders with regards to technical questions and challenges
  • Conduct Code-Reviews and mentor development teams to raise the standards for code quality
  • Evaluate IoT technologies and cloud services for their usage in Henkel’s applications
  • Set up asset monitoring tools and manage infrastructure and application performance via key metrics
  • Proactively scout for cost and performance optimization possibilities
  • Act as central point of contact and technical advisor for critical vulnerabilities and ensure mitigation in defined timeframes

What makes you a good fit

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as IoT Architect, Cloud Engineer or in Senior Backend Development roles
  • Proficiency in programming languages as C#, Java, Node.js or Python as well as experience with databases, both SQL and NoSQL
  • Proficiency in working with MS Azure Cloud Services
  • Experience in designing high frequency data ingestion solutions with Event Hubs, Service Bus or Kafka
  • Strong knowledge in regards of edge computing, IoT protocols as well as OT network and security requirements
  • Good understanding of AI/ML applications and real-time data processing
  • Fluent English in writing and speaking in technical matters, German language skills are beneficial
