Sustainability Ambassador School Outreach Program

Educating students at Sekolah Cita Buana about sustainability

As part of our Sustainability Ambassador School Outreach Program, a group of employees from Henkel Indonesia headed down to Sekolah Cita Buana, South Jakarta, to spread the message of sustainability. The visits marked two great days of fun and learning on the topic of environmental awareness for 212 primary level students who participated in the sessions.

Since the visits targeted two different age groups, our Sustainability Ambassadors customized their delivery of content to make it more interesting for the students. The children were engaged through fun games and coloring activities, while still focused on the main message of sustainability.

The ambassadors returned to the school on a separate day to present certificates of completion to the students.

Agnetha Ophilia, one of the Sustainability Ambassadors for the visit, said, “These sessions were a great learning experience, not just for the students, but also for us. With every school outreach activity, we try to tailor our delivery to suit the students. With the response we got, I believe we had a positive impact on the school. During our return visit, the teachers also shared new sustainability initiatives which were created after our lesson, which was very encouraging.”

Students at Sekolah Cita Buana enthusiastically participate in a classroom session conducted by Henkel Indonesia Sustainability Ambassadors.
