The Sustainability Ambassador School Outreach program encourages employees to promote the topic of sustainability to young children in their local communities.
Ike Suryani from Finance and Controlling in Henkel Indonesia was invited to teach at her daughter’s school, Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Cendekia Pasuruan, during a ‘Parents as Teachers Day’. As a trained Sustainability Ambassador, Ike was knowledgeable about the topic of sustainability, and decided to use the opportunity to raise awareness about environmental conservation among the class of 35 students, aged six to eight.
Ike said, “The session was a great way to teach children simple sustainable behavior that they can put into practice in their daily lives. I am proud to represent Henkel as a Sustainability Ambassador to conduct the lesson.”
