Repurposing plastic waste into ecobricks

Henkel Indonesia collaborated with Good Life Society and residents from Kampung Botol in Kramat Jati, Jakarta, to repurpose plastic waste and bottles into ecobricks.

Ecobricks are created by stuffing clean and dry plastic waste into plastic bottles to form dense building blocks. They can then be used to create furniture, garden spaces and even build walls. By repurposing plastic products, less waste will end up in the landfills.

Additionally, Henkel Indonesia donated IDR 7.500.000 to non-profit organisation Good Life Society to support their projects. Our employees also painted a mural wall with the message “Kurangi Sampah Plastik” as a reminder to use less plastic.
