Sustainability School Outreach

Sustainability Ambassadors in Indonesia

As part of our ongoing Sustainability Ambassador Program, four Sustainability Ambassadors from our Jakarta office visited the British Jakarta School to introduce and promote the concept of sustainability among a class of Grade-3 students aged 8 and below.

Employing a fun approach to learning, the team presented the concept of ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ to the students. The objective was to teach the students to adopt sustainable practices and encourage them to pass on the message to their peers and family members. The session was well-received and generated an enthusiastic response from the students, who showed great keenness to share what they had learned.

Keane Owen, Technical Sales Executive for Industrial Adhesives, Henkel Indonesia, who was present as one of the Sustainability Ambassadors, said, “The session was a great way to reach out to children and instill in them, the belief that they can contribute meaningfully to the environment by adopting and promoting sustainable behaviors. I am proud that I was able to teach them something new that will go a long way in shaping a sustainable future.”
